Arbonne is an international wellbeing company focusing on sustainable, healthy living through holistic approach to beauty, and prides itself on using premium plant-based ingredients and collaboration with holistic experts. Empowerment, transparency and sustainability are at the core of the brand’s values. Arbonne operates in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Poland and the United States.
Creative Tribe was tasked with localizing Arbonne’s website into Polish and optimizing it for search engines, as well as localizing multimedia assets to be used by brand’s experts, and an application used on mobile devices.
Arbonne’s language focuses on empowerment and holistic approach. Their communication is simple, yet authentic and focuses on the community of brand’s experts. Maintaining the linguistic identity of Arbonne, as well as existing terminology that is used throughout their communication has been the main challenge in localizing their assets.
We started with creating a global glossary and researching keywords to be used in website localization. Both assets needed to be cross-checked to minimize the possibility of discrepancies between approved terminology and keyword results.
The website localization project has been shared with linguistic experts with SEO knowledge. The project went through three phases: translation, editing and proofreading. At each stage, the linguists were working in a shared space within our CAT tool, and had access to the latest terminology – both the glossary and the keyword list. The proofreading team made sure that relevant keywords were used where necessary and content after each step was saved into a separate translation memory to avoid mismatching content.
Arbonne’s localized version of the website was made live in September 2020 and is available for all users. Following up on the project, Creative Tribe implemented minor changes to the texts to match website design.
